Fresh stuff, best-of-the-web for midlife women

Great writing by women you'd like to have a drink with.

We've got to walk

I just wrote a blog post for my students about why they should consider outdoor activities and exercise as part of their school work.

Then I realized, this is good advice for aging women as well. And there's been a lot published lately, like Matt Richtel's New York Times piece on the importance of  unplugging from electronics and getting outside. And activity is good for the mood, (d'oh), creativity and also possibly, for heading off dementia.

Not this kind of walk. Although this kind of walk probably helps head off dementia in its own way. This needs to be studied more.

This kind of walk.
